About the Kilifi Gold Triathlon 2023
The annual Kilifi Gold Triathlon, is a premier fundraising event dedicated to supporting local grassroots projects within the Kilifi community. Since its inception as a small triathlon amongst friends in 2003, the Kilifi Gold Triathlon has grown to become East Africa’s most popular sprint triathlon. This remarkable event has raised millions of shillings for charitable causes in the Kilifi community.

- Sprint Triathlon: Engage in an exhilarating sprint triathlon featuring a magical off-road course that welcomes participants of all levels – from beginners to seasoned Commonwealth Games athletes.
- Limited Spots: Secure your place among the 250 competitors in this coveted event. Previous editions sold out within 24 hours.
- Spectator Excitement: Experience the action firsthand as hundreds of spectators gather along the beach to cheer on the KGT250 participants conquering the challenging course.
- Safety First: Ensure your safety and success by adhering to safety regulations. Bike helmets and functioning brakes are mandatory, and proper attire is recommended for different legs.
- Race Briefing: Attend the compulsory competitors’ race briefing at 1:45 PM to familiarize yourself with the event’s details.
- Team Participation: Teams consist of 3 members, each completing a single leg. No individual can participate as part of a team, and team members cannot perform more than one leg.
- Scenic Beauty: Delight in the stunning backdrop of the African landscape throughout the race, making it a truly unique and breathtaking experience.
Spectator Entertainment:
- Free Entry: Spectators are welcome to attend the event free of charge.
- All-Day Activities: Enjoy the entertainment-filled day with a restaurant, bar, DJ, MC, and engaging kids’ games.
