The 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education KCPE exams results were released by Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha on Monday, March 28, 2022. The results show a high level of performance from students in the coastal region, with several students scoring highly and making it to the top 20 performers list.
Leading the pack is 14-year-old Joshua Safari Ziro from Busy Bee School, who emerged as the top Coast student in the examination with an impressive 421 points out of the possible 500. He was closely followed by Amani Wairi George of Nyali Primary, Amaya Lisa Adhiambo of Amani Primary School, and Kelly Baraka of Almona Academy, who tied at position two with 420 marks.
It is worth mentioning that the top KCPE candidate in the country is Magata Bruce Mackenzie from Gilgil Hills Academy, who scored 428 marks. He was followed by Momanyi Ashley of Makini School with 427, while the third position went to Muteti Shabtell of Kitengela International School with 426 marks.
These impressive results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students, as well as the efforts of their teachers and parents. The coastal region has consistently performed well in the KCPE examinations and this year’s results are no exception. With a strong foundation in primary education, these students are well-prepared for the next step in their academic journey.

One of the best things about celebrating new years eve is sitting under the stars with your favourite drink and of course with family and friends while waiting for the “kabooms” that light up the night sky.
Unfortunately, last year, New year’s events and firework displays were cancelled in most places around the country due to the rapidly spreading coronavirus. Thankfully, restrictions have been lifted off as more and more people get vaccinated.
Whether you are spending this holiday weekend at the beach, camping, or hosting a backyard cookout, there is sure to be a fireworks show near you that you can watch near you.
But if you’re not sure where to see the best displays of fireworks near you, we’ve rounded up a selection of where you can watch fireworks tonight.

Two months ago, we launched our first writing competition, dubbed “Mombasa Raha” a challenge that was open to everyone.
We were pleasantly surprised by the number of articles we received from all over and out of Kenya. We want to thank all the participants who took their time to write and submit their entries.
After much deliberation, we have decided to publish the top 20 articles and let our readers be part of this. We would love it if you could help us pick the top three articles from the list ( after reading them of course) through voting. The articles have been numbered in no particular order, we deliberately did not include the complete names of the writers to give everyone a fair chance.
Send us a message here ( see the form at the bottom of the page), through any of our social media platforms, or via WhatsApp.
Due to the number of articles we received, we did not have enough time to sort them through and arrange for the voting as stated earlier (the 10th). As a result, we’ve moved the deadline for the voting to the 22nd of October. To allow enough time for our readers to read and vote. The winning article(s) will be announced on the 25th, October and rewarded on the 28th of the same month. We sincerely apologize to all our participants and readers for the delay.
Best regards,
